PICKUP, TRANSIT & DELIVERY

A clear, documented process from the moment you book to the moment your freight is signed off. No surprises, no hidden steps.

Quote & Rate Confirmation

Request a quote via our booking form, by phone at (786) 229-7306 or email. We provide a written rate confirmation within 2 hours detailing the rate per mile, fuel surcharge, accessorial charges and payment terms. No dispatch until the rate is signed by both parties.

Payment & Booking

Pay securely online by credit/debit card, Zelle, Venmo, ACH or wire transfer. Brokers with approved credit may request Net-15 or Net-30 terms. A booking confirmation number and digital receipt are emailed within minutes of payment.

Pickup Coordination

Our dispatcher contacts the shipper at least 2 hours before arrival to confirm dock availability, hours and special requirements. The driver checks in at the pickup facility, the Bill of Lading (BOL) is signed by both parties, and freight is loaded and secured per DOT standards.

Transit & Tracking

Real-time GPS tracking is available on every load (included or as add-on). Our dispatch team monitors the load 24/7 and proactively communicates any delays, weather impacts or route changes to both shipper and receiver.

Delivery & POD

The driver coordinates delivery appointment with the receiver. Upon arrival, freight is unloaded (or receiver unloads per agreement), the BOL is signed as Proof of Delivery (POD). Any exception noted on the BOL at delivery is documented before the driver departs.

Invoice & Documentation

Signed POD and final invoice are emailed within 24 hours of delivery. Freight claims, if applicable, must be filed within 9 months per Carmack Amendment. Our team supports claims from documentation to resolution.

Shipper Responsibilities: Freight must be properly packaged, labeled and ready at the confirmed pickup time. Overweight or misdeclared freight is subject to reweigh fees and possible load refusal. Accurate commodity descriptions and NMFC class are required at booking for LTL shipments. Lucho Trucking is not responsible for delays caused by shipper or receiver unavailability at the agreed dock time.

📋 What We Sell — Services Description

Lucho Trucking LLC provides the following commercial freight transportation services:

  • Full Truckload (FTL): Exclusive use of a trailer for a single shipper's freight. Rate is charged per mile.
  • Less Than Truckload (LTL): Partial space on a shared trailer. Rate charged per pallet or per hundredweight (CWT).
  • Refrigerated / Reefer Transport: Temperature-controlled freight movement. Rate per mile plus fuel surcharge.
  • Flatbed / Open Deck: Open trailer transport for oversized or irregular freight. Rate per mile.
  • Expedited / Team Driver: Time-critical freight with two-driver teams. Premium per-mile rate.
  • Heavy Haul / Oversize: Specialized transport requiring permits and escorts. Custom-quoted per job.
  • Additional Cargo Insurance: Supplemental coverage above standard Carmack liability. Per-load fee.
  • GPS Tracking Add-On: Real-time load tracking link. Per-load fee.

All services are subject to a written rate confirmation signed by both parties prior to dispatch. Rates may include fuel surcharge (FSC), tolls, detention and other applicable accessorials disclosed at booking.

💰 Pricing, Rates & Accessorial Charges

Base rates displayed on this website are starting rates. Final rates depend on origin, destination, freight type, weight, dimensions, equipment required and market conditions. A written rate confirmation is issued before any booking is finalized.

Accessorial charges that may apply (disclosed at booking):

  • Fuel Surcharge (FSC) — based on DOE weekly diesel index
  • Detention: $65/hr after 2 free hours at shipper or receiver
  • TONU (Truck Order Not Used): $250 flat fee if load is cancelled after driver dispatch
  • Layover: negotiated per occurrence
  • Reweigh fee: $50 if freight weight differs from declared weight
  • Lumper services: billed at cost + $25 admin fee
  • Toll charges: billed at cost for applicable routes
📝 All charges are disclosed in the rate confirmation. No additional charges will be assessed after the rate confirmation is signed without written agreement.
📋 Cancellation Policy

Cancellations are accepted under the following conditions:

  • More than 24 hours before pickup: Full cancellation, no fee.
  • 12–24 hours before pickup: 50% cancellation fee of the base rate.
  • Less than 12 hours before pickup: Full TONU fee of $250 applies.
  • After driver dispatch: TONU fee plus any repositioning costs incurred.
  • Reefer loads: Additional pre-cooling costs ($75–$150) may apply if unit was pre-cooled prior to cancellation.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to contacto@luchotrucking.com or confirmed by phone at (786) 229-7306.

💳 Refund Policy

How to Request a Refund: Email contacto@luchotrucking.com with your name, booking/load number, payment date, amount and reason for the refund request. You can also call (786) 229-7306 during business hours.

Eligible for Refund:

  • Duplicate or erroneous charges — full refund issued within 3–5 business days
  • Services paid for but not dispatched within agreed timeframe — full refund
  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before pickup — full refund
  • Cancellations 12–24 hours before pickup — 50% refund
  • Billing errors confirmed by our accounting team — full refund of the error amount

Not Eligible for Refund:

  • Loads already picked up and in transit
  • Completed deliveries per the agreed BOL
  • TONU fees where driver was dispatched
  • Detention, layover or accessorial charges that were incurred
  • Additional cargo insurance once certificate is issued

Processing Time: Eligible refunds are processed within 5–10 business days. Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Credit/debit card refunds may take an additional 3–5 business days to appear on your statement depending on your bank.

🛡️ Cargo Liability & Claims

Lucho Trucking LLC maintains carrier liability as required by federal law under the Carmack Amendment (49 U.S.C. § 14706). Standard coverage is up to $100,000 per load.

  • Additional cargo insurance available as a paid add-on at booking
  • Claims must be filed in writing within 9 months of delivery date
  • Legal action for claims must be initiated within 2 years of claim denial
  • Damage must be noted on the BOL at delivery (exception noted on POD)
  • Concealed damage claims must be reported within 15 days of delivery
  • Claims resolved within 30–120 days depending on complexity

🛡 High-value freight (over $100K): we strongly recommend purchasing additional cargo insurance at booking.
Delays & Force Majeure

Lucho Trucking LLC is not liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, including:

  • Severe weather: hurricanes, blizzards, flooding, ice storms
  • Traffic accidents or highway closures on the route
  • Government-ordered restrictions, road closures or inspections
  • Shipper or receiver dock delays beyond driver's free time
  • Mechanical failures despite regular maintenance
  • Acts of God, natural disasters or other force majeure events

In all delay situations, our dispatch team will proactively notify both shipper and receiver and provide updated ETA as soon as information is available.
